Dakota Days celebration
USD President James Abbott and his wife, Colette, were followed closely by The University of South Dakota Marching Coyotes to lead participants in the annual Dakota Days Parade, held Saturday, Oct. 11 down Vermillion’s Main Street. Hundreds of people lined the street to view floats and other entries representing campus and civic organizations, politicians, and other marching bands. High school bands came from Vermillion, Elk Point, Canton, Centerville and even Rapid City. View photos and video of the parade at Spotted by logging on to www.plaintalk.net. (Photo by David Lias)
