USD Symphony Orchestra The USD Chamber Singers, concert choir, and men’s and women’s chorus will combine with the USD Symphony Orchestra for a free concert on Friday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Knutson Theatre, the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts on the USD campus. Dr. David Holdhusen, direction of choral activities, will conduct the sublime Requiem by Gabriel Faure. The concert will feature soloists Tracelyn Gesteland, Mezzo-Soprano, Thor Gesteland, Tenor, and Rick Piersall, Bass-Baritone. The concert will begin with two string orchestra pieces by American composer Harry N. Redman and then the soloists will join the group for three pieces from Bizet’s beloved opera, Carmen.
