�Bikes and Babes� rally starts May 30
The fourth annual Children’s Miracle Network Bikes and Babes motorcycle run will be held Saturday, May 30. J&L Harley Davidson, Sioux Falls, has taken over the planning of this event in collaboration with Sanford Vermillion Medical Center and Vermillion Wal-mart.
Registration for the ride is from 9 to 10 a.m. on May 30 at Wal-mart, 1207 Princeton Street, Vermillion. Participants in Bikes and Babes will enjoy breakfast prepared by Wal-mart staff; bike blessing, blessing card and stone provided by Sanford chaplains, the ride, one Ribfest ticket, a Dutch lunch in Orange City, IA, and a post bash party with musical entertainment by The Cartwright Brothers. The cost for the day is $15. Event t-shirts will be available for purchase at the post bash.
The ride includes a scenic tour starting at Vermillion Wal-mart with stops at: Hawarden Casey’s General Store; Orange City Area Health System (Windmill Park); Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids, IA; and Sanford Children’s Hospital with a final roll through town to J&L Harley Davidson in Sioux Falls for the Post-Bash. This ride will join up with the Sioux Falls, Mitchell and Madison rides at the post-bash
The post-bash includes a cash prize for the top place and door prizes donated by local area businesses.There will be live entertainment and the J & L Snack Shack will be serving food and refreshments during the event.
All of the proceeds of the rally will stay local to benefit area children. Children’s Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness for children’s hospitals across North America.
