Holiday open house to be held at library

A holiday open house will be hosted by the library staff and the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Community Room.

There will be a number of community performers providing holiday music. Cookies and other holiday treats will be available to sample, along with recipes.

Holiday quilts made by local quilters will be on display. Door prizes provided by local merchants will be given away. Membership information and registration will be available for those interested in joining the Friends of VPL.

Anyone interested in making 3-D origami ornaments with Ms. Paige from Ready, Set, Draw! can drop by the Activity Room from 4 to 6 p.m.  A special story time for preschoolers will be held in the Activity Room at 6:30 p.m.
