1:09 a.m. - An officer located a male subject urinating on Main St in the downtown district. The male subject was cited and released.

11:09 a.m. - Officers responded to a reported theft from a local convenience store. Officers located the subject who admitted to the theft. Charges are pending.

12:06 p.m. - Vermillion officers assisted an out of state law enforcement agency by recovering a stolen vehicle. The case is under investigation from the other agency.

10:51 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. Officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Officers located the marijuana and arrested the driver. Charges are pending.


5:05 a.m. - Officers located a vehicle parked in the roadway, and still running. The driver was sleeping in the roadway while laying in front of the vehicle. Officers determined that the driver had been drinking and arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol.

9:12 a.m. - Officers responded to a residence for a known medical condition.

10:51 a.m.- Officers took a report of damage to a vehicle.

1:20 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot of a business. One person was questioned and no arrests were made.

3:02 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a suicidal person who was armed with a kitchen knife. Officers located the person and assisted them with mental health resources.

3:26 p.m. - Officers responded to a non-injury accident. One of the drivers was cited for running a stop sign.

6:02 p.m. -Officers took a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Investigation continues.

6:29 p.m. - Officers took a report of a car that had been vandalized.


3:37 p.m. - Officers spoke to a woman who reported the theft of her purse from her car. There are no suspects.


8:28 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for running a stop sign and issued the driver a ticket.

10:12 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and issued the driver a ticket.

10:21 a.m. - Officers found a stolen vehicle being driven in town. The driver was arrested for possession of stolen property.

11:34 p.m. - Officers discovered a stolen vehicle that had been abandoned in Vermillion. The owner was contacted, and the vehicle was impounded pending further investigation.


12:40 a.m. - Officers saw a car squeal its tires and fish tail around a corner. The driver was stopped and ticketed for exhibition driving.

10:52 a.m. - Officers received information of stolen property. Officers investigation discovered items were stolen from a vehicle. Case is under investigation.

1:03 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a missing person. The missing person was entered into NCIC. The case is under investigation.

4:06 p.m. - Officers responded to a reported driving complaint. Officers located the subject and found the issue to be a medical emergency. EMS was paged and transported the subject to the Emergency Room.


10:45 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a domestic assault. Officers located the suspect and the victim. Officers investigation found the suspect to be the predominant aggressor and was arrested. Alcohol was a factor. Charges are pending.


1:29 a.m. - Officers responded to a report of a noise complaint. Officers located the source of the noise, spoke with the subjects responsible and asked the subjects to turn the music down. The subject complied and officers cleared the scene.
