Happy New Year!

As the new year approaches, area students have been thinking about their goals for 2022. Here, area fourth and fifth graders share their resolutions for the coming year.

Mrs. Gilkyson’s 5th Grade Class, Jolley Elementary

In the year 2022, my New Year's Resolution is to get more fit and workout.

Brynlee B - My goal for 2022 is trying to be better at all the sports I played last year.

Rykin B - My goal is to get work done faster and on time.

Colten B - My goals for 2022 are to try to be a better friend and to make more friends.

Brianna B - My goals for 2022 are trying to get my parakeets to go on my finger and to get better at math.

Claire D - My goal for 2022 is to get better at math and turtlehead multiplication.

Nicholas E - My goals are to be more active and try to hang out with more friends!

Damien G - My goals for 2022 are I want to get my piano lessons done, get better at math and get my schoolwork done.

Maya H - My goals for 2022 are practice my guitar more often, practice math every night, and practice basketball every night.

Jackson H - My goal for 2022 is: to get better at Rocket League. My team has not won a game in a while.

Abagael W - My goals for 2022 are math and to get better at all school and more reading in my room at home.

J’ahvaeya K - My goal for 2022 is to be better at reading.

Colten K - My goals for 2022 are to get better at division and multiplication.

Olivia L - My goals for 2022 are to try to get better at math and to practice division more often at school and home.

Nora M - My goals for 2022 are getting better at softball, basketball, and roller skating.

Ethan O - My goal for 2022 is to get better at basketball.

Liam P - My goal for 2022 is to get champ 2 on rocket league (it's really hard to get).

Kaylee P - My goal for 2022 is to get better at playing with my friends more and getting outside more.

Abe R - My goals for 2022 is to finish my schoolwork on time.

Dane R - My goals for 2022 are to not be on ketchups (have late work) more than three times and do the best I can in school.

Zoey S - My goal for 2022 is to get better in math and not be in ketchups (not have late work).

Keaton S - My 2022 goal is to get better at spelling.

Zyonna G. -- I want to have all my grades as A’s and B’s and be better than I was in 2021.

Max -- I want to get better at drawing.

Katrina H. -- I want to get along with my brother.

Malcolm B.-- I want to be kind and not give up.

Omar A.-- I want to get an A+ in Science.

Emerson J.-- I want to get better at ball handling in basketball. I also want to work on my hitting in baseball.

Adysen R.-- I want to get only A’s on my report card. I also want to finish 5 novels. I want to conquer some of my fears. I want to save up to buy a gift. Finally, I want to learn how to play the piano.

Trace D. -- I want to get straight A’s and I want to get 100 AR points.

Adrianne V -- I want to give $10 - $20 to the hospital. I want to get a new phone. Finally I want to help every homeless person I see.

Isabel F.-- I want to try and exercise more and mostly try to eat healthier because I’ve been eating a lot of unhealthy food. My other goal is to try to watch less TV and play outside more.

Coltyn H.-- I want to get a better grade in Science and Math. I also want to work on my multiplication facts.

Marielle W. -- I want to get better at basketball and learn new skills in soccer. I also want to learn how to do my own hair and learn how to talk in a different language.

Damon Y. -- I want to get better at Fortnite and Math.

Mya C. -- In 2022 my goal is to kick a soccer ball higher or run faster.

Evelyn L. -- My goal is to have miniature cows on my grandpa’s farm.

Ayden S. -- I want to reach 1000 followers on Tic Tok. I also want to get better at four square.

Mrs. Ronning’s 4th Grade Class, Jolley Elementary

Agoot K. – I will have my homework finished on time.

Tyson S. – I will go to sleep on time. I will be nice to everyone, even if they are different or being bullied.

Cadee L. – I will spend more time with my friends and family. I will try to get more As in class.

Marley W. – I will eat healthier and not drink as much pop. I will try to keep my room clean and brush my teeth every night and morning.

Ava G. – I will get more fun hobbies that will calm me down. I will help my mom clean and cook more.

Lyle D. – I will shovel in the front yard. I will cook food for my mom.

Dylyn W. – I will keep my room clean. I will be nicer to my brothers.

Emiel B. – I will try to post more often. I will play with my boomerang every sunny day.

Emma K. – I will keep my room clean. I will go to bed at a good time.

Eben H. – I will teach my sister to play Fortnite. I will also play with my sister.

Dacien M. – I will do better in math. I will get my work turned in on time.

Samuel O. – I will finish the whole Harry Potter series in a year. I will also read 5 hours a week.

Jazen R. – I will go to bed when I’m supposed to. I will read more often.

Faith K. – I will help my mom more. I will smile more.

Sebastian M. – I will look on the bright side even when I am sad. I will run for student council again.

Kat B. – I will clean wherever it’s needed in the school, at home, anywhere! I will help 15 people every day, at the least.

Carmen S. – I will pay more attention to my teacher. I will work on my attention span.

Joseph J. – I will do more art. I will do Tik Tok videos.

Tessa N. – I will keep my room clean. I will play with my dog more.

Karlie T. – I will turn in all missing work. I will stay ahead in my grade.

Kaleb K. – I won’t talk back to parents. I will do things to make my parents happy.

Grayson TH. – I will do my homework even though I don’t like it. I will play outside.

Ben R. – I will clean my room! I will get better at basketball and baseball.

Jaylecia P. – I want to get my chores accomplished. I want to have better grades.

Eddie O. – I’m going to sell my kittens on craigslist.com and get ready for new kittens. I will feed my cats less – I have 22 cats.
