COMMUNITY NEWS!

Vermillion Medical Clinic Adds Physician Assistant

Vermillion Medical Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of Alex Lunneborg, a family medicine physician assistant as a medical provider at the clinic.

Lunneborg earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota, in May 2017. After graduating and working in the X-ray field for a couple of years, however, he found that spending his days solely in that department wasn’t completely fulfilling to him. He then enrolled in the University of South Dakota Physician Assistant Studies Program, earning his Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies in July 2021.

His first day of providing care at Vermillion Medical Clinic will be September 13th, when he will hold some daytime hours as well as some Convenient Care hours.

FIVE-YEAR Celebration of Ripple Glass Partnership

On September 1st, 2021, Ripple Glass recognized the City of Vermillion for five years of participating in their glass-recycling program. Since 2016, the recycling center has provided 255.73 tons of glass for recycling. The City is pleased to offer this program alongside other recycling options. The City appreciates the partnership with Ripple Glass and looks forward to continuing to work with the community to recycle glass and other materials. Visit the City’s website to learn more about the recycling programs offered by the City of Vermillion.

To recycle glass, please bring it to the Missouri Valley Recycling Center at 840 N. Crawford Road. All glass containers to be recycled should be empty and clean of any food residue. Due to safety concerns, glass is not accepted by the Curbside Recycling Program or at the satellite drop-off trailers.
