Front Page News

Vermillion High School theatre students made front page news in the Tuesday, Aug. 6 edition of “The Scotsman,” which bills itself as “Scotland’s National Newspaper.” The VHS students are in Edinburgh, Scotland to participate in the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The caption under the photo, which features local students in costume and ready to present their original play “ANTics,” reads, “Edinburgh Fringe entertainers perform on the Royal Mile yesterday on day four of the world’s biggest arts festival. The event is marking its 72nd anniversary with 3,841 shows running this year in venues across the capital.” The VHS students premiered their play in Vermillion on July 26 and left the next day on their journey to England and Scotland.
