Saturday, May 16 had been the day when friends and family of Vermillion High School’s Class of 2020 would gather together for a commencement ceremony to mark students’ accomplishments as their education within the Vermillion School District comes to an end. COVID-19 changed those plans. A “virtual” graduation ceremony will be held Saturday afternoon. Photos of class members adorn the east fence of the track and field facilities of Vermillion High School. Also, Friday’s print edition of the Vermillion Plain Talk contains a special publication featuring the graduates’ photos and the program of their “virtual” ceremony.
