3:10 a.m. - Officers stopped a car on suspicion of a drunk driver. The driver was tested and arrested for DUI.


12:21 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for doing 71 mph in a 50 mph zone. The driver was cited.

12:47 a.m. - Officers responded to a medical call. The patient had left the hospital against medical advise, but was clearly suffering from an unknown medical problem. The officers and friends convinced the patient to return to the hospital.

6:36 a.m. - A business requested officers check on a vehicle in their parking lot that had been idling for over an hour. The occupant was waiting for a construction job to start.

10:30 a.m. - Complainant reported some children possibly being neglected at home. Under investigation.

7:29 p.m. - Complainant reported his vehicle was struck while parked at a restaurant. The other vehicle left the area. The accident was witnessed. Under investigation.


4:36 a.m. - While Officers were on patrol they found a car that had been damaged in a hit and run. Officers found the car and its driver and arrested him for the offense.

11:50 p.m. - Officers stopped a car for an out brake light. The driver was found to have an expired license and was cited.



6:26 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. No arrests were made.

10:20 p.m. - A Vermillion Officer responded to a dispute at a residence in the County. The Deputy was delayed responding and the officer insured the argument did not escalate further. The Deputy arrived and took over the call.



12:04 a.m. - Caller reported an unknown man attempting to enter his residence. Officer found the man in the front yard of the caller's residence. The man was intoxicated. He lied about his identity. A fake license was found on his person. He was under 21 years of age. The man was arrested.

12:24 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for not having its headlights on. The driver was intoxicated and was arrested. The driver did not have a valid driver's license and had a previous conviction for DWI. Marijuana and an open container of alcohol were found in the vehicle. The driver was charged with multiple offenses.

12:38 a.m. - An officer contacted a man and discovered he had a warrant for his arrest out of Clay County. the man was arrested on the warrant.

2:29 a.m. - Complainant reported a loud party at a neighbor's residence. An officer contacted the responsible party at the party residence and warned them about the excessive noise.

6:19 a.m. - While investigating a complaint about trespassing, an officer contacted a man who lied about his name. The man was eventually identified and was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Clay County. The man was arrested and charged with an additional charge of False Impersonation.

10:14 a.m. - Complainant reported the theft of yard maintenance equipment. Under investigation.

1:16 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for driving 68 mph in a 50 mph zone. The driver was cited for speeding.

1:28 p.m. - A local business reported a woman in the business who had been told not to return to the business. Officers contacted the woman who admitted she knew she was not supposed to be in the business. The woman was charged with trespassing.

4:45 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a man and woman yelling at each other as they walked down the street. Officers contacted the involved parties who was having a heated argument, but no crimes had occurred.

9:59 p.m. - Complainant called because clothing she had left at a friend was not being returned. The officer contacted both parties and explained that their issue was civil and how they could go about addressing the issue through the courts.
