SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sanford Vermillion will host Screening for Life, a wellness event, at the Lee Medical Building on the campus of the University of South Dakota on Feb. 8.
Doors open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a variety of screenings including 3-D mammography, heart and cervical. To register for 3D mammography or cervical screenings, call 605-677-3700. Heart screening registrations are completed by calling 888-996-4673.
The community blood drive, Vermillion’s Heroes Behind the Badges, will also be part of the event. Family-friendly activities throughout the wellness event include the following:
• Kookin’ with the Kids presentation at 10 a.m.
• vision screenings
• dental screenings
• hearing screenings
• handwashing station
• cancer screening guidelines education
• advanced care planning presentation
• opioid awareness presentation
• antibiotic stewardship education
