7:13 a.m. - A parent called concerned about their adult child who suffered from depression and had a difficult time in life. Officer contacted the person who was upset but not suicidal. Officer provided the subject a variety of resources available to them in the community.

12:53 p.m. - Caller reported a trailer plate had been stolen. Officers entered the information into a national database. No suspect leads at this time.

5:12 p.m. - Officers responded to a dispute between two neighbors. On arrival officers found one of the men was very intoxicated and a pushing match had occurred. Officers found the intoxicated man was on probation and not allowed to consume alcohol. Court Services requested he be arrested. He was arrested.

6:07 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a small structure fire. Officers were able to use a fire extinguisher to put it out.


12:24 p.m. - An out-of-state agency requested a Vermillion Officer locate and check the welfare of a domestic violence victim who was supposed to be moving to Vermillion but had not been heard from. An officer located the subject who was alright.


1:31 p.m. - Officers were advised of a past tense domestic, in which one of the parties may have been assaulted. Under investigation.

2:44 p.m. - A Vermillion Officer assisted Court Services with a search of the residence of a subject on court conditions. The subject was ultimately arrested for violating court conditions.

10:53 p.m. - Caller was concerned about a family member who was intoxicated and belligerent and had left the residence after a dispute with another family member. Officer were not able to locate the man.

10:56 p.m. - While investigating a domestic dispute, officers found one of the parties was on release conditions not to consume alcohol and was intoxicated. The subject was arrested at the request of Court Services.


9:56 a.m. - Caller requested help with a family member who was having trouble breathings, was sweating and dizzy. Officers provided care until the ambulance arrived and transported the subject from the scene.

3:20 p.m. - A Vermillion Officer assisted Court Services with arresting a subject on a probation violation.


1:29 a.m. - An officer saw a man on the sidewalk downtown drinking from an alcoholic beverage. The man was warned about the open container City Ordinance.

12:04 p.m. - Officers responded to a traffic accident that had occurred in the parking lot of a local business. No one was injured. Officers assisted the parties in exchanging information and documented the scene of the accident.

7:33 p.m. - An officer saw a woman who had a warrant for her arrest out of Clay County driving a car. He stopped the car and arrested the subject on the warrant.

7:51 p.m. - Officers went to a residence after receiving information that two subjects with warrants were at the residence. The two subjects were not at the residence, but the person contacted at the residence was on court conditions not to drink alcohol and was drinking alcohol. She was arrested at the request of Court Services.


12:10 p.m. - Complainant reported several golf carts were stolen from the Golf Course. Under investigation.

3:48 p.m. - Officers responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle non-injury accident. The driver of the vehicle was cited for running a red light.

10:46 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for erratic lane travel. The driver was intoxicated and was arrested for DWI.


7:58 p.m. - While at a community event, an officer saw a subject have a seizure. EMS was also present at the event. Officers assisted EMS until the patient was transported from the scene
