MONDAY, FEB. 18

9:00 a.m. - Officers responded to a medical call of a patient who had suffered a recent injury and was disoriented. Officer provided care until the ambulance arrived.

TUESDAY, FEB. 19

12:14 a.m. - While investigating a disturbance call, an officer found one of the involved parties had an arrest warrant out of Clay County. The subject was arrested.

12:41 a.m. - Caller reported a bat in her home. A Vermillion Officer assisted by a University Officer captured the bat and released it outside.

12:49 p.m. - Caller reported a hit and run accident that occurred sometime in the last couple days. There is no suspect information at this time.

12:51 p.m. - Caller reported a theft of tools from a construction site. Under investigation.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20

3:38 a.m. - Officers responded to a report of a home patient who had fallen and needed assistance getting up. The officer assisted the subject with getting up off the floor.

8:50 a.m. - An officer contacted a man who was brought to the hospital after an accident on the Freeway. The officers collected information and relayed it to the South Dakota State Troopers.

9:01 a.m. - Caller reported he had backed into another vehicle and wanted to report the accident. Officers documented the accident.

7:00 p.m. - While investigating a parking issue an officer contacted a person who had a warrant for her arrest out of Clay County. The person was arrested.

THURSDAY, FEB. 21

3:12 a.m. - While enforcing parking during the overnight hours, officers found a car that hadn't moved in over 24 hours. The car was ticketed and towed.

5:39 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and cited the driver.

FRIDAY, FEB. 22

2:34 a.m. - Officers responded to a medical call where the patient was reporting symptoms consistent with cardiac problems. The officers provided care until the ambulance arrived and took over.

7:54 a.m. - An officer saw a man who had two warrants for his arrest out of Clay County. The man was arrested.

10:15 a.m. - 9 cars were ticketed and towed from various streets for violating the 24 hour parking ordinance.

SATURDAY, FEB. 23

12:07 a.m. - An officer issued a citation to a vehicle illegally parked. The vehicle had four other unpaid parking tickets. The vehicle was towed.

12:34 a.m. - While conducting a bar check, an officer contacted a woman who was under 21 and had been drinking. She was cited.

12:57 a.m. - While conducting a bar check, an officer found a man who appeared under 21 who refused to be identified and attempted to flee. The man was detained and was underage had had been drinking. He had used his cousin's identification to access the bar. The man was arrested for underage consumption and display of another's license.

3:03 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver was intoxicated and was arrested for DWI.

7:11 p.m. - Officers investigated a one vehicle non-injury accident. The driver was cited for overdriving road conditions.

10:51 p.m. - Officers responded to a noise complaint. They contacted the apartment the complaint was on and warned them about the noise. A short time later officers were called back and the noise had returned shorting after the officers left. The occupants of the apartment were contacted. There were four people in the apartment who were intoxicated and underage. The four were cited.
