11:15 a.m. - A deputy investigated a report of a theft in an apartment building in Irene.
4:08 p.m. - A juvenile was transported to his home from the Juvenile Detention Center in Sioux Falls after his sentence was completed.
9:33 p.m. - A person wanted in Brown County was located in Wakonda. The man was arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail.
11:30 p.m. - A deputy assisted an elderly rural resident who called reporting he was unable to locate his wife. Assistance was provided and the man was informed his wife was in Vermillion.
TUESDAY, FEB. 5
8:53 a.m. - An inmate who was wanted in Brown County was transported to the Yankton County Jail to meet a transport shuttle to Brown County.
10:22 a.m. - A deputy assisted a Nebraska State Patrol investigator with a missing persons investigation. Contact was made with a rural Clay County resident requesting information.
1:04 p.m. - An inmate being housed in the Sioux County Jail in Orange City, Iowa was transported to the Clay County Jail for release processing at the completion of his sentence.
1:29 p.m. - An inmate was transported to a medical appointment and then was returned to the jail.
8:59 p.m. - A vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for speeding on Highway 46 in Irene.
THURSDAY, FEB. 7
1:26 p.m. - A deputy encountered a motorist with a disabled vehicle on Highway 50 east of Vermillion. The driver was burned by hot antifreeze when he opened his radiator cap. An ambulance was summoned but the man refused treatment. The vehicle was towed to Vermillion.
FRIDAY, FEB. 8
9:08 a.m. - A caller reported suspicious activity when he saw a car loaded on a car trailer which was parked at a vacant rural property. A deputy responded and discovered the car trailer was stolen from Sioux Falls and there had been an apparent attempted theft of a car from the Clay County property. Both the car and the trailer were returned to their owners.
2:49 p.m. - A deputy observed a vehicle fail to stop as required at a rural highway intersection. The driver was cited for the offense.
4:14 p.m. - While attempting to serve civil process at a Vermillion residence, a deputy detected drug activity. One person was arrested for ingestion of marijuana.
SATURDAY, FEB. 9
1:12 p.m. - A deputy conducted a welfare check of a man who was suicidal and had called the hospital. The man was located, seeking treatment at another hospital.
