VERMILLION—Dakota Hospital Foundation recently awarded $20,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion to help establish a strong foundation for the Club.
This Seed Fund will support necessities for the Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion to open, such as the recruitment and training of quality staff, the addition of appropriate safety and security equipment, and the purchase of supplies and materials for programs in the Club’s priority outcomes of academic success, character and leadership, and healthy lifestyles.
“We can take another big step forward in serving the youth and families that need us most, thanks to the Dakota Hospital Foundation,” Executive Director Savannah Sullivan said. “I feel so grateful for every donation the Club receives and I’m excited to show the Foundation and community what they’re helping fund.”
Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion is replacing the Beyond School Adventures program and will open in Austin and Jolley Elementary Schools on Aug. 18 for the 2022-2023 school year.
It will serve elementary-aged youth after-school and on no-school days, providing a safe and enriching place for youth to go with a free snack and fun and educational programs and activities.
