The Mahr String Quartet

With Melissa Holtmeier and Erin Aguirre on violin, Debbie Martinez playing the viola and Rachael Means on cello, the Mahr String Quartet is one of the premier string quartets in Omaha, and surrounding areas.

Vermillion, SD – Fall in love with the Mahr String Quartet this Valentine’s Day. Their Friday, Feb. 14 concert “Classical Valentine” will serenade you and your guests with music that makes your heart happy. Beginning at 7 p.m. in Farber Hall (Old Main building, University of South Dakota campus) you can expect to hear classical favorites as well as popular tunes from the movies, Beatles and more!

With Melissa Holtmeier and Erin Aguirre on violin, Debbie Martinez playing the viola and Rachael Means on cello, the Mahr String Quartet is one of the premier string quartets in Omaha, and surrounding areas. Collectively, the group has been playing together since their college days at UNO. As individuals, the musicians have played with the Omaha, Lincoln, Des Moines and Sioux City symphonies as well as China and US tours with the Mantovani Orchestra and the Mannheim Steamroller Orchestra.

Tickets are $7, but free for NMM Members, children under 18 and USD students and staff.

The National Music Museum is still closed to the public while it is undergoing architectural expansion, but the NMM Live! concerts, as well as NMM social media and website news are ongoing. More information at nmmusd.org.
