Donation Will Help Games Return To Vermillion

Representatives of the Coffee Cup Travel Plaza present a check for $2,553.50 to representatives of the USD Athletic Department, the Vermillion Chamber and Development Company (VCDC) and individuals involved with Special Olympics. The check presentation was made Tuesday night at McVicker Plaza and will help insure that the Special Olympics Summer Games will return to Vermillion after a 20-year hiatus. The summer games will host over 500 athletes May 16-18. The USD Athletic Department and the VCDC have teamed up to bring this event to Vermillion. All involved with bringing the games back to Vermillion greatly appreciate the generous donation from the Coffee Cup Travel Plaza.
