No Serious Injuries

There fortunately were no serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash that took place about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 at an intersection near Volin. A Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 23-year-old woman from Yankton was eastbound and was struck by a southbound GMC pickup driven by a 23-year-old man from Irene which had failed to stop at a stop sign. First responders at the crash site included the Volin and Gayville fire units, ambulances from Yankton and Vermillion, sheriff’s deputies from Yankton and Clay counties and a trooper from the South Dakota Highway Patrol. There were minor injuries but no one was transported by ambulance.
