In case you missed it, during this week when temperatures climbed to 90 degrees on Monday and Tuesday and are expected to approach 80 degrees tomorrow, the Old Farmer’s Almanac has warned that we should either 1) stock up on long underwear or 2) patch any holes in our existing pairs of long johns and/or 3) do both.

Recent news reports have shared the weather predictions in the latest edition of the almanac and we’ve been given a dire warning: The “2023 Old Farmer’s Almanac” says East River residents should prepare for a cold and dry winter.
