To the Editor,
Is there anybody out there who doesn’t hate the new blindingly bright LED streetlights that the city has recently installed downtown? Everybody I’ve talked to finds them harsh and ugly. (I grant that they look all right in the daytime.)
I’ve spoken to the City Council and to the City Engineer, in the hope that I can persuade them to replace the current lights with something less bright and more visually pleasant. I hope that anybody who agrees with me will let the City Council know how much nicer the downtown area could look with a different kind of lighting.
