1:24 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and cited the male driver.

1:39 p.m. - Officers responded to a 911 call of disputing persons. Officers investigation found a subject was on the property of the calling party without their permission. Officers trespassed the subject from the property.

4:11 p.m. - Officers responded to a 911 call for medical assistance from someone suffering from heat exhaustion. Vermillion EMS arrived and began caring the for the patient. Alcohol was a factor.

Monday, July 5

6:33 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and cited the female driver.

11:43 a.m. - Vermillion Officers conducted a welfare check at the request of another agency. Officers found the subject, who denied being a danger to themselves, with family members.

12:39 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of damaged property. The case is under investigation.

7:23 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a fire on the west side of town. The fire had been started by people lighting fireworks. The VFD arrived and put out the fire.

8:32 p.m. - Officers investigated a report of package theft. The case is under investigation.

Tuesday, July 6

12:15 p.m. - Officers responded to a welfare check request. Officers were able to make contact with the subject of the welfare check and found everything to be OK.

5:28 p.m. - Caller requested help putting on a medication patch. An officer and EMS responded and worked with the caller to get the patch applied.

6:21 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of theft from a local business. The case is under investigation.

Wednesday, July 7

9:15 a.m. - A Vermillion Officer stopped a vehicle for driving during night-time hours without headlights on. The driver was found to be unlicensed. The driver was cited and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

9:46 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for doing 35 mph in a 25 mph zone. The driver was not wearing a seat belt. The driver was cited.

12:10 p.m. - Officers took a report of a runaway juvenile girl. Investigation continues.

1:52 p.m. - Officers responded to an apartment to do a welfare check on a male. Officers found the male had died. The incident was turned over to the detective devision for investigation.

Thursday, July 8

8:40 a.m. - Vermillion Officers assisted another agency by attempting to locate a subject with an outstanding warrant. Officers were unable to locate the subject. The search continues.

7:22 p.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and learned the driver did not have a valid license. The driver was cited for being unlicensed.

Friday, July 9

4:37 p.m. - Complainant reported his vehicle had been damaged a couple of days prior in a parking lot. The damage was to the driver's side of the vehicle. No recoverable evidence was discovered.

Saturday, July 10

10:39 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. The driver was cited.
