12:24 a.m. -Officers made contact with a person with a suspected mental illness. Officers determined that law enforcement assistance was not needed.

2:15 a.m. - Officers investigated a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend at a local business. No arrests were made.

4:04 p.m. - Officers were called for a report of a runaway teenager. The teenager was found at a relative's house.

Monday, August 16

11:46 a.m. -Detectives took a report of an adult male making inappropriate statements and advances toward a teenage girl. Investigation continues.

Tuesday, August 17

9:47 a.m. - Officers stopped a car because they recognized the driver and knew she didn't have a valid license. The driver was cited for driving while suspended.

11:08 a.m. - Officers responded to a non-injury accident. One of the drivers involved did not have a valid license and was cited.

4:55 p.m. - Officers responded to a business where two juveniles were reported to have broken some items. The juveniles were told they couldn't be at the store without a parent and were then taken to the home of one of the juvenile's mother.

6:44 p.m. - Officers responded to a local business for a report of shoplifting. Investigation continues.

Wednesday, August 18

2:29 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for multiple traffic violations. The driver had been drinking and was arrested for DUI.

5:15 p.m. - Officers responded to an accident where a pregnant woman's water broke. It was later learned the woman's baby died. The crash investigation is being handled by the Highway Patrol.

Thursday, August 19

11:19 a.m. - Detectives are investigating a report of a male who stole checks from a victim and used them to make purchases.

8:05 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. No arrests were made.

Friday, August 20

2:22 a.m. - Caller was working at a local business and reported several angry customers pounding on the glass of the store. Officers determined that the business refused to serve several intoxicated customers and they became angry. The individuals had fled by the time officers arrived.

11:50 p.m. - A Vermillion officer stopped a vehicle for driving during night time hours without headlights on. The driver was found to be a suspended driver. The driver was charged accordingly.

Saturday, August 21

12:23 a.m. -A Vermillion officer stopped a vehicle for a lane driving violation. Officer's investigation found the driver to be intoxicated and under the age of 21. The driver was arrested and taken into custody. Charges are pending.

12:35 a.m. ¬An officer located a male subject urinating in a parking lot near the downtown district. The male subject was found to be under the age of 21 and intoxicated. The male subject was cited and released.

4:58 p.m. - Officers responded to a local address to conduct a welfare check. Officers located the subject who requested to go to the Sanford ER.

10:29 p.m. - An officer stopped a subject for having an open container of alcohol in the downtown district. The subject was found to be under the age of 21. The subject was cited and released.
