11:37 a.m. - A deputy responded along with fire units to a report of a hay bale fire at a rural residence.
12:49 p.m. - A deputy responded to a report of people shooting bow and arrow at a Wakonda residence.
1:42 p.m. - A deputy responded to a dispute over property where a tenant was removing property pursuant to a court order but then took additional property.
1:47 p.m. - A deputy responded to mediate a family dispute at a rural residence.
4:16 p.m. - A deputy responded to a report of a 911 call from a rural residence. The call was determined to have been an accidentally dialed call.
9:26 p.m. - A deputy investigated a car/deer crash on Highway 50 east of Vermillion.
Monday, May 8
2:33 a.m. - A deputy responded to mediate a family dispute at a Wakonda residence.
1:55 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Davison County Jail in Mitchell to the Clay County Jail.
4:23 p.m. - A deputy responded to assist Child Protection Services with a child custody transfer at a rural residence.
5:01 p.m. - Deputies assisted Vermillion police officers in an effort to locate a missing child in Vermillion. The child was found safe in her home.
Tuesday, May 9
7:28 a.m. - Three inmates were transported from the Union County Jail to the Clay County Jail to attend court.
4:10 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Clay County Jail to the Union County Jail and a second inmate was transported from there back to the Clay County Jail.
9:18 p.m. - A deputy located a person at an Irene residence who was wanted in Maricopa County, Arizona. The person was arrested and was booked into the jail to await extradition.
Wednesday, May 10
4:34 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Clay County Jail to the Union County Jail and two other inmates were transported from that location back to the Clay County Jail.
Thursday, May 11
7:15 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Yankton County Jail to the Clay County Jail.
10:04 a.m. - Two inmates were transported from the Clay County Jail to the Union County Jail and a third inmate was transported from there to the Clay County Jail.
3:50 p.m. - A deputy encountered an abandoned vehicle parked in a rural road ditch. The vehicle had not been in an accident. The adjoining property owner did not own the vehicle and requested to have it removed. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
6:42 p.m. - A vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for speeding on Main Street in Irene.
6:46 p.m. - A vehicle was stopped on 302nd Street and the driver was cited for speeding.
8:55 p.m. - A vehicle was stopped on Highway 19 and the driver was cited for speeding.
Friday, May 12
4:08 p.m. - A juvenile was transported from Vermillion to the Juvenile Detention Center in Sioux Falls.
5:42 p.m. - A deputy responded to a report of a man flagging down vehicles on a rural road. The deputy arrived and found the man. After further investigation, the man was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
8:10 p.m. - A deputy responded to a complaint of a person riding an ATV on a dead end road and private property in Burbank.
Saturday, May 13
3:10 p.m. - A caller reported seeing an object floating in the Missouri River and was concerned it may be a child. Several deputies and other rescue agencies from Clay County and Nebraska and other volunteers searched the river from the banks and by boat and did not locate the object. No indication of any incidents upstream were found and no reports of any missing persons were received.
9:49 p.m. - A deputy responded to assist Vermillion police officers with a domestic violence incident in Vermillion.
