SUNDAY, APRIL 18

1:50 a.m. - Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving under the influence. One other adult male was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

6:26 a.m. - Officers responded to a residence for a known medical condition. The patient had fallen, which caused a face injury. The officer provided assistance with bleeding control until the ambulance arrived and took over treatment.

8:40 a.m. - Officers responded to a residence in response to an unruly juvenile. Officers met with both parties and were able to find a solution to the dispute.

10:05 a.m. - Officers responded to a 911 call for medical assistance from a local church. Officers assisted the patient until EMS arrived.

11:54 a.m. - Officers responded to a residence following a report of a disturbance. Officers determined that no criminal offense had occurred.

MONDAY, APRIL 19

3:54 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding in an active school zone. The driver was cited and released.

7:14 p.m. - Officers received a report of a sex crime which was reported through an outside agency. The case is under investigation.

TUESDAY, APRIL 20

4:34 a.m. - An officer spoke with a subject about suspicious activity in their neighborhood. The reporting party was advised to call police if there was any criminal activity occurring in the area.

6:51 a.m. - Officers responded to an online submission of a child custody issue. The subject was advised police officers have no authority over civil matters such as child custody issues. The subject was directed to the appropriate agency.

11:03 p.m. - While on a separate call for service a Vermillion officer recognized a subject with an active warrant out of Clay County. When confronted, the subject lied about their identity in an attempt to deceive law enforcement. The subject was arrested and taken into custody on the warrant. Charges are pending.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21

3:07 a.m. - An intoxicated subject called 911 for medical assistance after falling out of a chair. The subject wished to be transported to the ER via ambulance despite having no visible injuries. Alcohol was a factor. The subject was transported via ambulance to the ER.

11:38 a.m. - An officer saw a vehicle he recognized as belonging to a man who had warrants for his arrest. The officer recognized the driver as the man with the warrants for his arrest and arrested him on two Clay County warrants.

2:03 p.m. - An officer responded to a two vehicle non-injury accident in a business parking lot. The officer insured no one was injured and completed an exchange of information form.

THURSDAY, APRIL 22

2:34 a.m. - Officers took a report of a theft of a cell phone. Officers searched for the phone and attempted to locate it using a Find My Phone App, but were not successful.

FRIDAY, APRIL 23

7:37 a.m. - Officers responded to a report of an accident with injuries. The investigation revealed that the driver was intoxicated, had stolen the truck and then tried to leave the truck while it was moving at a high rate of speed. The driver was hospitalized for injuries and then arrested following his release. Further charges are pending.

1:19 p.m. - Officers took a report of damage to a motor vehicle. There are no leads as to who damaged the vehicle.

1:55 p.m. - Officers took a report of a person who was receiving threatening and harassing text messages. Investigation showed the victim may have been a victim of identity theft. The officer provided information on how to mitigate the potential financial damage if she was a victim of identity theft.

2:17 p.m. - Caller reported their storage unit had been burglarized and multiple items were taken. Under investigation.

8:15 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a vehicle accident. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and driving while suspended.

SATURDAY, APRIL 24

4:26 a.m. -Caller reported an intoxicated woman had forced her way into the caller's residence. The caller had pushed her out of the residence and now she was pounding on the front door. Officers arrested the woman for underage consumption of alcohol and trespassing.
