SUNDAY, DEC. 2

8:11 a.m. - A deputy investigated a rollover crash on Highway 19 north of Vermillion.

11:46 a.m. - A deputy mediated a dispute between neighbors in Burbank regarding snow removal and parked cars inhibiting snow plows.

1:34 p.m. - A deputy stopped to check on a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Greenfield Road. There was no damage and there were no injuries. The driver made his own arrangements for a tow and did not need further assistance.

3:49 p.m. - A deputy encountered an unoccupied vehicle on its side in the ditch on Highway 46. The vehicle was towed away and the driver was located later. There were no injuries reported. A crash report was completed.

7:33 p.m. - A deputy assisted Turner County deputies with an investigation in Irene of an assault that had occurred in Centerville.

8:30 p.m. - Deputies responded to a rural residence after a man in another state expressed concern for the rural resident after suicide threats online. After speaking to the person, it was found that no need for a mental hold existed.

MONDAY, DEC. 3

4:40 p.m. - A deputy worked to make contact with owners of vehicles that needed to be moved from Irene streets for snow removal. One vehicle was towed away.

8:16 p.m. - A man who was wanted for Clay County warrants was transported from the Minnehaha County Jail to the Clay County Jail.

TUESDAY, DEC. 4

8:28 a.m. - A deputy encountered a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Timber Road. The owner was contacted and it was determined that there were no injuries and there was no damage. The vehicle had slid off due to slick roads. No assistance was necessary.

9:43 a.m. - An inmate was transported to a doctor appointment and then was returned to the jail.

4:25 p.m. - A deputy responded to a report of a man approaching a rural residence to report he was stuck nearby. A deputy responded and assisted the man by contacting a tow service to pull his vehicle out.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 5

11:06 a.m. - A juvenile was transported from the Juvenile Detention Center in Sioux Falls to Vermillion to attend a court hearing.

3:10 p.m. - A juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Sioux Falls after being brought to Clay County for a court appearance.

8:28 p.m. - Deputies located a person wanted for an assault in Vermillion. The man was arrested and booked into the jail.

THURSDAY, DEC. 6

10:36 a.m. - An inmate was transported to a medical appointment and then was returned to the jail.

11:51 a.m. - A rural resident reported a caller left a message attempting to get him to call saying they would call the "cops" because there were "serious charges" The person receiving the call was suspicious it was a scam and didn't provide any information or pay any money. A deputy determined the matter was a scam attempt. No money was lost.

2:21 p.m. - A deputy transported an inmate to a medical appointment.

FRIDAY, DEC. 7

9:52 p.m. - A caller reported an impaired driver on Highway 46. A deputy responded to the area but did not locate the suspect vehicle.

SATURDAY, DEC. 8

12:26 a.m. - A deputy responded to a report of a vehicle that had slid into the ditch on 306th St. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and a passenger was arrested for false impersonation. Both arrestees also had outstanding warrants.

6:34 p.m. - A deputy responded to a medical emergency at a rural residence and assisted with patient care until the arrival of EMS.
