SUNDAY, AUGUST 9

4:50 p.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and saw the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt. The driver was cited for the seatbelt violation.

MONDAY, AUGUST 10

1:18 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for a lane violation. The driver did not have a valid driver's license and was cited for the offense.

2:13 a.m. - Officers stopped a car related to a report of a physical altercation. The driver had been drinking and was investigated for DUI. The driver was arrested for DUI.

1:35 p.m. - Officers took a report of a stolen bicycle.

7:05 p.m. - Officers responded to a call about a man who threatened to kill a woman and child. Investigation showed the comments were not genuine and no crime was committed.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 11

3:53 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding. The driver had been drinking and was investigated for DUI. The driver was arrested for DUI.

10:34 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and cited the driver.

10:58 a.m. - Officers were called to a residence for a theft from the house. Investigation continues.

1:35 p.m. - Officers took a report about a woman who was scammed out of some money. Investigation continues.

5:40 p.m. - Officers took a report of a car stolen from a business. Officers searched for the car but could not find it.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12

4:54 p.m. - A business reported the theft of parts from two of their company vehicles. The incident is under investigation.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 13

11:06 a.m. - Officers stopped a car for speeding and issued the driver a ticket.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 14

3:30 p.m. - An officer made contact with a subject who had an outstanding warrant. The warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested and taken into custody.

10:30 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for not having it's rear tail lights illuminated during night time hours. Officers investigation discovered the driver to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DWI.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 15

12:08 a.m. - Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence that was reported through 911. Officers interviewed numerous parties involved and no arrests were made.

1:47 a.m. - An officer located a subject with an open container of alcohol on the sidewalk in the downtown district. The subject was cited for open container of alcohol and released.

12:09 p.m. - Officers responded to a residence for a known medical condition. Officers provided care until the ambulance took over.

6:26 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a large party at a residence that was making excessive noise. Officers located and identified all renters.

6:43 p.m. - Vermillion Officers, Clay County Sheriff Deputies and Clay Area EMS responded to an injury accident involving a car and a motorcycle. The injured persons were treated and released on scene. Officer's investigation found one of the driver's committed a traffic violation. Charges are pending.

7:31 p.m. - Officers responded to a non injury accident involving two drivers. Neither driver was cited.

8:10 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person. Officers made contact with a person who was experiencing a mental health crisis. An officer helped the subject contact family.

11:54 p.m. - Caller reported the odor of marijuana near a residence. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the reported odor.
