SUNDAY, FEB. 14

2:42 a.m. - Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence. No arrests were made.

1:55 p.m. - Officers were called to a residence in response to a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers interviewed the involved parties and one adult male was arrested for misdemeanor assault.

2:39 p.m. - Officers responded to a hit and run accident. Investigation resulted in the identification of the vehicle that had fled the scene and the driver. The driver was intoxicated and was arrested for DUI and Hit and Run.

MONDAY, FEB. 15

6:12 a.m. - Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence. The tenants were arguing over ownership and responsibility of a dog. No arrests were made.

7:50 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of theft from a local business. The case is under investigation.

9:46 p.m. -Vermillion PD officers assisted the South Dakota Highway Patrol with an arrest involving multiple people for illegal drug use.

TUESDAY, FEB. 16

4:49 a.m. - Vermillion PD officers assisted the Clay County Sheriff with locating and recovering numerous stolen items from a series of thefts in the region.

10:00 a.m. - Caller reported the theft of mail. Investigation did not identify any suspect information.

11:23 a.m. - Vermillion Officers assisted Clay County Court Services Officers with a probation investigation.

5:25 p.m. - Officers responded to a reported dispute between persons. Officers located and spoke with both subjects who are legally married. Officers investigation found no criminal activity had occurred.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 17

5:45 p.m. - An officer saw a vehicle being drive by an unlicensed driver and stopped the vehicle. The officer found a 3 year old child was sitting outside of a car seat unrestrained. The driver was cited.

6:05 p.m. - Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Officers investigation found both subjects had outstanding warrants for their arrest. One subject was arrested as the other subject agreed to turn themselves in. No criminal activity outside the active warrants were identified.

THURSDAY, FEB. 18

12:24 a.m. - Officers responded to a report of a physical fight occurring inside a residence. Investigation resulted in the arrest of a visitor to the home for assault.

3:01 a.m. - While on routine patrol a Vermillion Officer located a single vehicle crash. The single vehicle had flipped after striking a curb. The driver was identified and charges are pending.

10:05 p.m. - Officers received information of a dispute between persons involving snow in a parking lot. Officers located and spoke with the suspect. The incident was resolved.

FRIDAY, FEB. 19

10:13 a.m. - Caller reported the license plate had been stolen off their vehicle. Under investigation.

8:36 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for going 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. The driver was cited.

SATURDAY, FEB. 20

1:09 a.m. - Caller reported an intoxicated man had pushed his way into the caller's residence and refused to leave. The caller pushed the man out of the residence. Officer located the man a short distance from the residence and he was arrested for trespassing.

1:56 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for doing 45 mph in a 35 mph zone. The driver was cited.
