2:07 p.m. - A deputy investigated a report from a Wakonda woman who had fraudulent charges on her bank card.
4:59 p.m. - A deputy responded to a rural residence and euthanized a skunk that appeared to be sick.
7:39 p.m. - A deputy responded to mediate a non-violent family dispute at a rural residence.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 25
6:10 p.m. - A deputy encountered two men having a verbal exchange in Irene. The deputy mediated the dispute which resulted from a road rage issue.
THURSDAY, MARCH 26
1:20 a.m. - A deputy responded to assist the Yankton County Sheriff's Office with a report of a kidnapped person in a vehicle in Yankton County near Gayville. The vehicle was located and it was determined that no crime had been committed.
9:20 a.m. - A deputy responded to a report of a dog at large in Wakonda. The dog was not located.
4:00 p.m. - A deputy served a protection order to a woman in Vermillion. The woman then reported that the man who had the order served was contacting her.
FRIDAY, MARCH 27
12:04 a.m. - A deputy assisted a Highway Patrol Trooper with a traffic stop which resulted in an arrest for DWI.
2:22 a.m. - A deputy responded to the jail to assist jail staff with an uncooperative inmate in booking.
3:39 p.m. - A vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for speeding on 306th St.
6:34 p.m. - A Burbank resident reported hearing the sound of a shotgun in the area. A deputy responded and found that a neighbor was popping balloons with a BB gun and that there had been no shotgun firing in the area.
SATURDAY, MARCH 28
5:44 a.m. - A deputy responded along with fire and EMS to a rural residence when a call was received of a heavy man falling and being unable to get up.
7:40 p.m. - A deputy responded to a Vermillion residence to notify the resident of positive COVID-19 test results.
