9:20 a.m. - A deputy responded to a report of a disruptive person at an Irene business. The man was asked not to return to the store.

11:06 a.m. - A deputy observed a vehicle in operation in Irene without any license plates. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for the offense.

11:41 a.m. - A vehicle was stopped and the driver was cited for speeding on Main Street in Irene.

1:39 p.m. - A deputy investigated a report of ATVs operating on state land at the Missouri River near Highway 19. The people involved were identified and the matter was forwarded to the Department of Game, Fish, and Parks.

2:21 p.m. - A deputy mediated a neighbor dispute regarding use of a water hose in Meckling.

8:22 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Union County Jail to the Clay County Jail to be processed for release from custody.

Monday, December 20

11:00 a.m. - The School Resource Officer investigated a report of a parent failing to send a child to school resulting in multiple cases of truancy.

11:25 a.m. - A Wakonda resident reported hearing what she thought were gunshots. A deputy determined that the gunshots were likely from pheasant hunters in the area near town.

4:10 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Clay County Jail to the Union County Jail.

Tuesday, December 21

8:25 a.m. - Two inmates were transported from the Union County Jail to the Clay County Jail to attend court appearances.

9:48 a.m. - An inmate was transported to a medical appointment in Vermillion.

11:00 a.m. - The School Resource Officer investigated a report of a habitually truant student. The matter was forwarded to the State's Attorney for consideration of prosecution of the parent and of the student.

1:36 p.m. - Two inmates were transported to the Union County Jail.

2:12 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Union County Jail to the Clay County Jail for a court appearance.

3:58 p.m. - A deputy encountered four stray horses west of Vermillion. The deputy located the owner and informed him of the location of the horses.

6:20 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Clay County Jail to the Yankton County Jail to board a transport van to the Women's Prison in Pierre to begin her prison sentence.

7:12 p.m. - An inmate was transported from the Yankton County Jail to the Clay County Jail.

Wednesday, December 22

11:45 a.m. - An inmate was transported from the Yankton County Jail to a dental appointment in Vermillion. The inmate was then returned to the Yankton County Jail.

1:59 p.m. - A deputy investigated a report of a burglary and theft at a vacant rural residence.

4:03 p.m. - A deputy responded to a one car, non-injury accident in Wakonda.

Thursday, December 23

8:04 a.m. - Three inmates were transported to be held at the Union County Jail.

9:18 a.m. - Two inmates were transported from the Union County Jail to the Clay County Jail to be processed for release.

12:12 p.m. - A deputy investigated a burglary and theft at a vacant rural residence.

1:17 p.m. - A deputy responded to a report of a theft of items from outside of an Irene business.

Friday, December 24

12:19 p.m. - A deputy investigated a report of a vehicle in the ditch near Irene. The vehicle was occupied by a juvenile girl who said there was a bomb in the car. The girl was determined to be under the influence of methamphetamine and had active arrest warrants. She was taken into custody.

Saturday, December 25

9:30 p.m. - A deputy investigated a car/deer crash on Dakota Street south of Vermillion.
