Carron Radigan

Carron Jean Radigan, born November 1st, 1951, passed away at 8:30pm on Sunday, June 9th, 2019. She led an amazing life and passed peacefully to her forever home surrounded by her family. Carron worked hard and tirelessly as a Sr. Programmer Analyst in Institutional Research. She was often the "one-man show", doing it all, even after her retirement from the University of South Dakota in 2015. Carron was best known, however, for loving those around her, making the best of every day, and making people laugh in only the way she could. What made her life worth most living, however, were her children and grandchildren.

Per Carron's wishes, and direct from her Southern past, she wants a celebration of life, everyone to have a good time. She doesn't want people maudlin'. She didn't want a funeral and definitely did not want anyone seeing her in a box. A night vigil will be held on Friday, June 14th at 7pm in Vermillion, SD at United Church of Christ, with a gathering directly thereafter at Bunyan's.

Carron is survived by her three children: Richelle (Brett) Netzer, Michael (Kat) Reddick and Taylor Reddick; her seven grandchildren, Treyden (affectionally called Jake by Grandma), Kelsey (Doodlebug), Hunter, Sophye, William (my little Will), Dominic and Harper (Stinker); her mother, Betty (Charles) Lamar, her sister, Paula (Mark) Thomas, her brother, Don (Donnie) Holmes and her stepdad, Gene (Daddy Bo) Holmes; her three nieces, Shaunna, Taylor and Morgan Thomas.

Carron was preceded in death by her father, Sam Cole, her first love, William (Bill) Reddick and the love of her life, Jeffrey (Jeff) Radigan.

Carron will be missed by all and loved more than she ever knew. Her grand babies will know who she is and her memory will be passed on to the "little ones". Anyone who knew her, appreciated her sense of humor and her laugh, understood that she gave without condition, and that she loved with all she had.

Kober Funeral Home of Vermillion has been entrusted with the services. Condolences may be posted online to www.koberfuneralhome.com.
