Sylvia Aldia Lynch, 88, of Vermillion, South Dakota passed away on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019 at Prairie Estates Care & Rehab. Center in Elk Point.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Vermillion with Father John Fischer officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Sylvia was born to the late Henry O. and Suphranna (Trudeau) Millette in Jefferson, South Dakota on Jan. 13, 1931. She was one of nine children. She attended grade school at Union County Civil Bend in Jefferson, South Dakota and graduated from Mount Marty High School in Yankton, South Dakota.
She married Delmar Lynch on Feb. 4, 1950 at St. Agnes Parish in Vermillion, South Dakota. To this union brought three children; John, Michael, and Kathleen. Delmar preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2008.
Sylvia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was thankful for her family and all the wonderful holidays spent with her loved ones.
She is survived by her loving children, John (Doralee) Lynch and Michael (Kathleen) Lynch, both of Burbank, South Dakota and Kathleen (John) Lounsbery of Hartington, Nebraska; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Delmar; parents, Henry O. and Suphranna; sisters, Cordelia, Deloris, Cecilia, Alberteen, Madonna and Iola; brothers, Kenny and Al
