David Engebretson

David Claude Engebretson passed away peacefully at home, in his sleep the morning of October 28th, 2022.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy Beerman Engebretson, children; Lauri Engebretson Kloepfer (Jack), Jodi Engebretson Powell (Todd), Ellen Engebretson and Johnathan Stein(Chelsea), grandchildren; Annie Bowden, Justin Satter, Daveah Galvez, Morgan Engebretson, Giselle Steever, Kate Kloepfer, Megan Murray, Joey Kloepfer, Ava Black, Ryland West, and Piper Stein, great-grandchildren – 9, Brothers; Ed Engebretson(Pat) and Kenny Brander(Jan) and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Merri Engebretson and grandchildren, Jill Lammers and Isaac Olson and brother, Jerry Brander.

David was born in Sioux Falls and worked for AT&T and the DJ Dinsmore Company.  He then moved to Tampa, Florida and worked as the VP in Product Development for the JW Window Co., a part of the Jim Walters Companies.  Upon retirement, he returned to SD with his wife Nancy to their dream cabin on the Missouri River and started a new company River Country Sales.
