The Vermillion Grey Sox went to Harrisburg this past Sunday to play the Woodies. The Grey Sox won 6-1 after 13 innings.
The Harrisburg Woodies scored their only run in the third inning. The Grey Sox followed with one of their own in the fourth.
The scoreboard remained the same through the 12th inning. The Grey Sox got their bats going in the 13th inning, scoring five.
Harrisburg was unable to come back in the bottom of what became the final inning. Vermillion won 6-1.
The Grey Sox recorded seven hits and two errors. The Woodies had five hits and one error on the night.
At the plate, Travis Weber and Cole Anderson each had two RBIs. Anderson and Carter Kratz had two hits each for the Grey Sox.
From the mound, Billy Mount and Alex Mogensen pitched for Vermillion. Mogensen tallied eight strikeouts, and Mount had 11 first-pitch strikes.
The Grey Sox will play this Sunday in Akron, Iowa, at 2 p.m.
