Two Vermillion youth soccer teams hit the road for the 2019 Fishback Classic Soccer Tournament this past weekend in Brookings.


Vermillion U10 Boys


The U10 Boys went 2-1 over the weekend.


The Vermillion Predators first defeated Brookings FC 3-0. Vermillion then played Grand Forks, North Dakota and lost 1-3. In their final game, the Vermillion Predators defeated Galaxy White from Spencer, Iowa, 3-1.


Vermillion U14 Girls


The U14 Girls went 3-1 in the tournament to earn the silver.


The Vermillion Predators first defeated the U13 girls from Grand Forks, North Dakota, 7-0. Vermillion went on to defeat Brookings Select 6-0. The Predators kept the shutouts going as they topped Yankton United 5-0 to advance to the championship game.


Vermillion faced off against the U14 girls from Grand Forks, North Dakota, and lost 1-3. The Predators ended the tournament in second place.


Travel Team Round-Up, Free Skills Clinic


The Vermillion Youth Soccer League will be hosting a Free Skills Clinic and Travel Team Round-up on July 30th at the picnic shelter in Barstow Park. Free food and bounce house.
