Tanager gymnastics competed in a triangular at Wagner last Thursday. Vermillion placed second with 126.55 team points. Wagner/Bon Homme won with 131.95, and West Central placed third (100.6).
Junior Mackenzie Brady earned the bronze in the all-around event (33.1). Brady won in the uneven bars event (7.8), was third in the balance beam (7.9), third in the floor exercise (8.45) and placed second in the vault (8.95).
Freshman Tori Farmer placed fifth in the all-around (31.25). Farmer placed fifth in the floor (8.2) and fifth in the vault (8.45).
Freshman Serena Gapp finished sixth in the all-around (31.15). Gapp was third in bars (7.55), tied for fourth in beam with 7.85 and tied for fourth in floor (8.25).
Seventh-grader Callie Radigan placed sixth in floor (8.15).
Senior Elaina Taggart placed sixth in bars (7.05) and tied for fourth in beam (7.85).
Vermillion competed this past Friday in the Region 2 Meet in Wagner for a chance to make state. The qualified Tanagers will compete in the state meet this Friday and Saturday in Watertown.
