Emerson Jarchow pitched a complete game and struck out 10 Madison Baseline batters during the third game of the Yankton Invitational on May 7.

The Vermillion 10U Tanagers Travel team took third place at Yankton Invitational on May 7, 2022 at Sertoma Park.

Vermillion defeated Harrisburg Tigers 4-3 in the opener. Sam Vitt was the winning pitcher and Kellen Beach earned his first save of the season.

Emerson Jarchow and Kellen Beach each had multiple hits while Luke Uhl and Braxton Moeller added a single apiece.

The Tanagers would lose their second game 11-5 to the Sioux Falls Futures but ran away with a 9-1 victory over Madison Baseliners in their finale to secure third place.

Emerson Jarchow pitched a gem throwing a complete game while striking out 10 Baseliners batters. Emerson helped his own cause offensively when he stroked his first home run of the season driving in three runs! Reid Reuvers and Luke Uhl stayed hot at the plate adding two hits apiece and combining for four RBI’s. Keaton Standley “Thing 2” had two stolen bases and scored a run. It was also Keaton’s birthday weekend. Happy birthday Keaton!

Vermillion Tanagers 10U moved their record to 5-2-1 on the young season.
