The Vermillion football team was scheduled to play at Bennett County last Friday.

Vermillion head coach Andy Homan received a call Thursday afternoon about the cancelation due to their number of players in quarantine.

“One positive of not having a game is that it allows some of our guys that are banged up extra time to heal and get healthy for this week’s game,” said coach Homan. “A lot of stuff we wanted to do last week is that same as this week, so we got an extra week of working on it.”

The Tanagers play at Dakota Valley this Friday at 7 p.m. Vermillion’s final regular-season game is Thursday at home in the DakotaDome at 7 p.m.
